Oasis fan with no ticket claims he snuck in to see the band using VERY ingenious plot

A major Oasis fan who failed to bag a ticket to the band's iconic reunion tour claimed he managed to get in using a very ingenious plan. John Spilsbury, 42, was determined to join the 80,000 strong crowd on Friday night as the rock band took to the stage in Manchester for the first time in 16 years. After racking his brain for a way in, the super fan decided to pose as a little picker so he could walk straight up to the front - and claims it worked. The transport planner said he wore a yellow hi-vis vest, carried a litter picker and held a bin bag before strolling up to the gates at Heaton Park, The Sun first reported. After being waved through, Mr Spilsbury said he got right to the front standing section using his smart disguise. Living up to his persona of the night, the fan claimed he carried out a '30 minute shift' of litter picking before removing his outfit to enjoy the show. Mr Spilsbury, from Alfreton in Cheshire, posted on social media: 'No Ticket No Problem. 'When you can't get a ticket for Oasis so take a hi viz and grabber and pretend to be a litter picker then walk straight into front standing.' Viewers praised the transport planner for being a 'legend and a genius', while others joked there will be '6,000 litter pickers' turning up to the next concert. The band's shows at Heaton Park - a 600-acre public park in Bury and Manchester - are the only UK concerts held outside a stadium, with the others taking place at the Principality Stadium, Wembley and Murrayfield. Oasis opened their set with Hello from their 1995 second album (What's the Story), before playing Acquiesce. Fans were treated to Morning Glory, Some Might Say, Cigarettes and Alcohol, and Supersonic before Noel's acoustic set. Giving his brother a hug, Liam then headed off while Noel played Half The World Away and Little By Little. Other songs included D'You Know What I Mean, Cast No Shadow, Stand By Me, Whatever and Rock N Roll Star. After Rock N Roll Star, Liam said: 'Thanks for sticking with us. I know we are difficult, but you want to try being in the band,' before they left the stage. As chants of 'one more song!' echoed through the crowd they strolled back on to stage to play fan favourites Don't Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall. Oasis ended the night on Champagne Supernova with fireworks being set off from the stage.

Newly-single Orlando Bloom belts out Oasis hits as he heads to the band's show in Manchester after THAT awkward reunion with ex Katy Perry

Newly-single Orlando Bloom brushed off his awkward reunion with ex-fiancée Katy Perry as he headed to Oasis' reunion show in Manchester on Saturday. The English actor, 48, took to his Instagram Stories on Saturday and shared a video of himself singing along to brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, ahead of their second performance in Heaton Park this weekend. Orlando and Katy, 40, confirmed their split earlier this month as they entered a 'new relationship dynamic', but just days later were pictured together at pals Jeff and Lauren Bezos' honeymoon. The Pirates of the Caribbean star seemed in good spirits on social media as he penned: 'Road to Oasis. Could not be more f'in excited,' while travelling to the gig. 'It's gonna be karaoke all night,' he declared as he flashed a smile at the camera. Another snap showed him smiling and singing along to hit Don't Look Back In Anger in the background, as he relaxed on a boat. Orlando and Katy began dating in 2016 and got engaged on Valentine's Day 2019, before welcoming their four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove into the world. After the couple were trailed by rumours about the state of their relationship, it was widely reported that they have gone their separate ways. Representatives for the pair have confirmed to that 'Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting. They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.' The insider further added that the reported breakup had been 'a long time coming' and that their relationship had also been 'tense for months.' On Wednesday, Orlando posted about his reunion with Perry in a carousel of snaps, after awkwardly jetting off holiday together, despite their split. The former couple's daughter Daisy - who turns five next month in August - was also seen with her parents on the Italian getaway. In the wake of their separation, Orlando had whisked himself away to Venice to attend the star-studded nuptials between Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez this past weekend. Katy, who had been a guest at Lauren's bachelorette party in Paris and was also one of the bride's fellow passengers on the controversial all-female Blue Origin space flight launched by Jeff, was not in attendance. When it emerged that Orlando was going to the wedding alone, Katy's absence was explained away as a scheduling conflict with her Lifetimes tour in Australia. At the wedding, Orlando was spotted mingling with a number of celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Sydney Sweeney. Fresh from three days partying at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's Venice wedding extravaganza, Orlando headed on board Ritz-Carlton's gleaming 794ft Luminara for its inaugural cruise from Rome. Orlando was also recently spotted cosying up to Leonardo DiCaprio's girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, during a water taxi ride as they headed to the airport following the Amazon founder's wedding this past weekend. A separate source recently told that Katy had been left hurt by Orlando's actions. 'It's disappointing. It's hurtful and annoying. If he's going to behave like an acting-up adolescent, that's on him. She's going to continue to work and take care of Daisy.' They added, 'Katy knows that he's free to do whatever the hell he wants to do, she hoped he'd do it a little more discreetly and thoughtfully. So she's disappointed and sad.' During one of the early shows of her Lifetimes Tour in Mexico City this April, Katy had been seen sobbing while singing her song Pearl about leaving a troubled romance. After news had spread of her split from Orlando, she once again fought back tears while addressing a concert audience in Adelaide, holding her hands in the shape of a heart and saying: 'Thank you, Australia, for always being there for me.'
